The Hero Cup 2013

The Poppy Rally       15th-17th March

As before the event will be a competitive action packed road event based in the motor sport mecca of Ypres in the Flanders region of Belgium. The tight intricate nature of the roads will create a challenge for both driver and navigator, and a good selection of non damaging sealed surface tests will ensure maximum enjoyment for all competitors.

London to Lisbon    27th April- 5th May
Entrants can expect to cover 200/250 miles per day with the route  taking crews from Saint Malo to Poitiers then onto Pau before crossing the boarder into Spain. Continuing through the Picos de Europa to Leon staying overnight at Burgos on the way. From there onto Ourense and Vila Real before arriving at the hill climb at Caramulo. From there it is a scenic drive to Sintra for a re group and the final leg, in convoy, into Lisbon.

The Pirelli Classic Marathon      15th - 21st June

We’ll start from Ypres, the Belgian capital of rallying.  On Sunday morning it’s destination Cortina d’Ampezzo via night halts in Luxembourg, Mulhouse, Engelberg and Bormio. This time though when we get to Cortina we won’t be driving back but staying on to celebrate Italian style. Our route for the Silver Anniversary event will reflect the spirit of the 1988 event but take into account the different expectations that competitors now have and the need to fit the event into a shorter timescale but we will still be visiting many of the locations from that event.

Throckmorton        12th October

The Throckmorton Challenge is an established one-day event held on the QinetiQ site near Pershore that offers a full day of competition at an affordable fee. Throckmorton presents an opportunity to run up to fifteen tests in one day. The tests, interspersed with a hand-full of regularities, give competitors the chance to hone their skills. The regularities will be within loops that will start and finish on site, with the main controls all located at one central point – the HERO hospitality marquee.

Rally of The Tests        November

The Rally of the Tests returned to the classic rally calendar in 2012 under the leadership of new Clerk of the Course;Guy Woodcock. A high quality entry enjoyed three days of tough rallying from Torquay to Chester and hailed the event as one of the best yet...Guy takes the reins once again in 2013 and will be assisted by Anthony Preston to bring you this year’s version, which traces an exciting new route from Chester to Harrogate (two towns synonymous with the RAC rallies of old).

LeJog        7th - 10th Decemeber

Le Jog ranks high in the list of "must-do" events and year after year, crews from all over the world pit their skills against some of the toughest driving roads and weather as they compete against the clock to drive across Britain.

Every competitor dreams of collecting one of the elusive golds (only 1 earned in 2012), but crossing the finishing line is the main aim of many, particularly novices. The sense of achievement is immense and most crews pass under the finish banner with huge smiles on their faces.
